I'm not sure about the Old Prague Hostel, but when I was there last December I stayed at Hotel Casa Marcello and it was fainsattc. It is literally right blocks away from the Old Town Square, very charming, and AFFORDABLE. So, if you want to keep exploring your options on hotels/hostels, give them a look! The must see things, in my opinion, are: Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle (go at 12 noon to see the bigger changing of the guards ceremony, there is one every hour but they aren't as fun to watch), and overall just explore the city little by little. You are there for a pretty good chunk of time so I think you will be able to see everything, twice maybe. Prague isn't very big (at least the touristy area) and you can see it in a day. So I suggest take your time and see eevrything at your own pace.

Congratulations on getting marerid! :)Now on to your questions.Places I have stayed:Rome:Plus Camping Roma It is a campground, but you can rent private cabins as well. Sounds scary, I know, but it actually wasn't a bad place. The cabins have 2 twin beds, and a private bathroom. The campground is located fairly close to the Vatican (which is a bit west of center). It was a 5-10 min bus ride to the subway, which would take you anywhere and everywhere you could want to go (and the bus came often). There was a huge supermarket across the street. Swimming pool. Internet cafe. Bar/restaurant. Laundry. I think we paid 15 euro/person/night.hostels.com/en/availability.php/HostelNumber.6268plusvillages.com/ London:The Great Dover Street Apartments. It's part of the dorm for King's College. It's located near the globe theater, tower bridge and whack of other stuff. 5 minute walk to the subway. Private bathroom. There is a communal kitchen. Laundry facilities. A couple of pubs and supermarkets near by. Library around the corner has free internet access. Discount for students. I think I paid about 20 pounds/night for a single room. I'm not sure though if they rent out the rooms to non-students during the school year.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/HostelNumber.5144travelstay.com/aff/londonnet/GreatDoverStreetApartments.htmYou can check out places like hostels.com or hostelworld.com . They tend to also have cheap hotels. When I went to Italy this past summer, my friend and I stayed in some places that were really nice (although they had shared washrooms).I have no experience with buses in europe. The trains are usually a pretty good bet though.Prague to Rome will probably be a long trip by train or bus .though you may be able to book a bed on an overnight train.Or you can check out Ryanair you can sometime find dirt cheap flights there: ryanair.comIt's not in austria or switzerland .but if you're going from Prague to Rome, you could visit Venice. Go for a Gondola ride on your honeymoon .just a though. ;)With regards to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy:I wouldn't worry too much about language barriers.Unless you're visiting really rural area, far off the beaten tourist track, most people speak enough english for you to communicate with. And even if they don't, you can get by.
