    Villa Colonial Hotel es muy lindo. Los duenos son incredibles y muy simpaticos, se siente en su propia casa. Las habitaciones y salas son bien organizadas y adornado, y el precio es bueno. Es un poco mas caro que otros alojamientos en esta area, pero es una ganga comparado con lo que ofrecen los otros de lo que ofrece Villa Colonial. Esta a poco distancia de la ciudad vieja y una linda experiencia volver ahi al fin de cada dia. Un hotel encantador.

    This was a great deal- the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were everything we could have needed. The neighbourhood was really vibrant and authentic and really close to everything the city has to offer.

    A great place to stay. More like a nice hotel than hostel. Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to help me when I through my back out. Great location within the old city wall, but not at all touristy except for wonderful little restaurants nearby. The touristy part of the old city is less than a mile away for quick visits, but the part near the hostel has more character. Very clean, good-sized rooms at a great price.

    This hostel denied any knowledge of our reservation and had no rooms which involved considerable time and expensefinding alternativ accommodation.

    The hostel was good value and everything it advertised itself to be. It was a short walk from old town, just perhaps one street off of where things started to pick up. My room was spotless, the staff gave me the help that I needed. I couldnŽt ask for more.

    I booked a reservation with this hostel and put down a down payment, but when I arrived at the hostel at 6pm, they did not keep my reservation. I'm not sure if this is the hostel's fault, or minihostel's fault, but I'm out a deposit on 3 nights, not to mention the $200 hotel I was forced to book that night since nothing else was left available in Cartagena at 6pm on a Friday.

    Great place! Close to the centre, yet absolutely quiet. Nice clean rooms with a/c, shower and cable TV in an old colonial building. Rooms are cleaned twice daily! Very high security and nice rooftop terrace. Internet for free, creditcards accepted. Awesome value for money! However, no kitchen.

    A poucas quadras do centro histórico, em uma rua um pouco esquisita, principalmente quando se chega tarde da noite. Equipe simpática. Algumas comodidades nos quartos, as vezes, fazem falta. No geral, o hotel é simples, mas vale pelo precio e pela proximidade com as principais atracoes de Cartagena.

    The Villa Colonial places are really great, especially the casa is amazing! We are returning to Cartagena after a trip to Taganga and Park Tayrona, and we made a reservation in this hotel again! Hopefully we have a great room again! The staff is also really great, you can ask them anything and they help you. So if you are in Cartagena, defenitely stay in this place!

    This was the second time we stayed in this hotel and we had a great room again, with our own little balcony. The staff was really helpfull again, also with things that did not consern them. You only have to pay attention that when you checkout, the 15% deposit of the Minihostels-booking is deducted from your bill. Also the prices on this website aren't totally right. But in the end, this is a great hotel to stay in!

    Estupendo hotel dirigido por Marta, donde puedes llegar a la muralla en 7 minutos caminado y tranquilamente. Muy seguro tanto el barrio com el hotel. Sin tener grandes lujos, es adecuado para todo lo necesario, que es una buena ducha, dormir y un poco de relax en su terraza mientras te preparas para visitar la ciudad. Volveria sin dudarlo.

    Really liked this hotel, the woman that owned it was really friendly and polite and the other staff were all nice too. Felt really safe with buzzer on door, and the rooms were clean with air con. Location good, about 7-10 minute walk to the old town, streets around the area bit dark at night but didn't feel too unsafe. Close to the indias bus station as well for local buses and taxis. Laundry service was reasonable and quick too - they put the clothes nvm in the bedroom when they were done! I would recommend this to travellers and couples on a budget that want a good place to stay.

    Villa Colonial is a great hotel in a lovely location in the Getsemi area of Cartagena. I think it may be a little overpriced for the overall quality but we were happy with the service we recieved. Would reccommend to others!

    The staff is fantastic at both the Hotel Villa Colonial and Casa Villa Colonial (owned by the same family; we stayed at both). We preferred the Casa because it was quieter. Hotel Villa Colonial located down a sketchy side street (though all of Getsemani is a little sketchy) and the rooms are closer together so I think there is just more noise from all the people going through the lobby or halls. The windows all open to the corridors and they don't have glass, so the wood shutters don't really do a great job of filtering noise. The staff is awesome. They are incredibly helpful and nice and really want the guest to feel comfortable. The beds are firm and everything is very, very clean. Overall, I was glad we stayed there.

    This hotel was a pleasure to stay at, it was well located and safe. The staff were exceptionally helpful and even though they didnt speak a lot of english with our spanlish we managed to get by very well. they went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable including moving me to a front room with a balcony. The hotel was very clean with a lovely roof terrace and good wifi (computers available to those without wifi). I would recommend and would stay there again without hesitation.

    A very basic place, but clean and comfortable. Had TV and A/C (though I'm not sure all rooms have A/C), and the room was decently-sized. Showers were cold, and the "double bed" was two twins pushed together. Fairly quiet, and the staff was very helpful. They arranged several day trips for me and my boyfriend, and answered any questions we had. Some knowledge of Spanish is helpful, though some of the staff speak English. There's no breakfast provided, but there is a kitchen, and there are a couple of inexpensive cafes right down the street. About a 10-minute walk to the Old City--for me, this isn't far, though I know for some it is. There are cabs everywhere if you don't want to walk.
