  My first hostel in Colombia, so maybe this place isn't representative. Location is good, right in the old part of the city and walking distance to the TransMilenio (main bus system) and sights. But. . . only one shower in the whole place has warm water (there wasn't any in our double ensuite) and there's no reception. The cleaning lady who answers questions is very friendly and sweet, but there's almost nothing in the way of information and advice. When you want to pay your bill she calls the owner to find out how much. Decent but I wouldn't stay here again.

  Cuando llegue a las 4 am, mi cuarto estaba tomado a pesar de la confirmaci'on!!! y no me quer'ian dar soluci'on. Al final y gracias a la buena voluntad del que atend'ia, me cedi'o su pieza!!! Al d'ia siguiente hable con 3 personas para ver que pasaba con el cuarto! me dejaron en el mismo y no lo limpiaron nunca!!!! Muy mala la atencion y el servicio!!!

  Was definitely enjoying my staying in Villa Candelaria. A relaxed place with great ppl and staff. Couldn't let go from their Billiard table.. and they serve basic but yummi breakfast. coffee is for free!! Recommended!
