Built as a Chilean mansion in the early 1920's, Terra Extremus has been transformed into a cozy hostel that offers travelers everything they need. Terra Extremus has low nightly rates that are perfect for backpackers and any traveler on a budget, plus all the modern facilities and amenities. Come visit us and enjoy our terrace, TV lounge, fully-equipped kitchen and much more. We even have an art gallery on-site that features works created by local artists.
Terra Extremus is known for being a clean, comfortable hostel, and a great place to be social and meet other travelers. The hostel is also very conveniently located and only two minutes from the subway station. Guests can easily get around Santiago to explore the city and check out sights such as La Moneda Palace, San Cristóbal Hill and Barrio Bellavista.

Getting to Terra Extremus from the International Airport:
Taking a taxi is the most convenient choice, but you can save a bit of money and take the blue ''Centropuerto Bus'' for about fifteen minutes to the first stop, ''Pajaritos Subway Station Conection''. From there you can take the subway ''Escuela Militar Way'' and get off at ''Baquedano Subway Station''. Exit towards "Providencia'' and follow the right stairs. Walk toward the green Bus Station (green station) and turn left on the corner across Vicuña Mackenna. The hostel is located at Vicuña Mackenna 38.
Getting to Terra Extremus from the Bus Terminal
You can also take the subway from the Bus Terminal, either the Estacion Central Subway Station or Los Heroes Subway Station. Take the subway to ''Escuela Militar Way'' and get off at ''Baquedano Subway Station''. From there, follow the same directions as listed above.

Good hostel for the price. Rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. Slept very well. The kitchen is less than fully equipped (one knife and two pots) and the table seating is limited. Breakfast is not included, but there is free beer 6 nights a week.
