Our house was reconditioned for you to come and relax and also to enjoy the amenities with your friends. At Atacama Hostel you can enjoy the TV and DVD communal lounge room, the BBQ area, and the terrace to observe the sunset.
Our Hostel is conveniently located (100 metres off Providencia Avenue) at only few steps from the subway and the bus station. From Atacama?s, it?s an easy stroll around Santiago?s inner city streets line with shops, cafes and eateries. Atacama Hostel is located in the best, most secure, clean, and attractive suburb of Santiago, In its surrounded you will find many alternatives to move around (subway or bus). Additionally, we are located very close to regional bus and flight agencies.
Only one block from Manuel Montt Avenue, which enjoy a great diversity in bars, pubs, and restaurants of Santiago and a 15 minutes walk to Bellavista.
Furthermore, our hostel is situated in an area that was built last century, depicting an astounding atmosphere where you will be able to see an amazing infrastructure.
Walking north around a block you will find the renowned Mapocho River which will take you to the San Cristobal hill, main symbol of the city, In here you can practice all kind of outdoors activities, from trekking to cycling, and out of any doubt the most beautiful sightseeing in the capital.
If you want to go shopping Providencia suburb is a splendid place. Here you will find the most famous shops and handcraft markets particularly attractive for shoppers looking for lapislazuli made ornaments.

This MiniHostel has a great bar and a great staff. They organize parties during weekdays in a club near by with a few more hostels. So people get to know each other quickly.

Booked a double en suite and got a shoe box with bunk beds and shared bathroom on floor below. Noisy road on one side and screeching violin on other. No sleep. Not what we paid for or wanted. Might appeal to teenagers on a very tight budget

I have never been more horrified by a hostel in all my travels through South America. There was a dead cockroach and dirt everywhere, and a calafactor shower that was either scalding hot or freezing cold. It was ridiculously expensive. I mean really! What the holy hell are they thinking? The staff was very nice. The place sucked. What's worse than sucked? Go there and you will find this hostel; Altacama.... so appealing on the outside....so f**king horrible on the inside. Minihostels; you have lead us to do a little more research than we are used to doing through your resource.
