Travel
Bus from Buenos Aires to Campo Grande: 32 hours, approximately $250BRL / $100USD routing through Iguazu.
Flight from Buenos Aires to Campo Grande: 7 hours, price for one-way economy class is $905BRL / $367USD.
Bus from Campo Grande to Bonito: 5 hours, approximately $50BRL / $20USD.
Flight from Campo Grande to Bonito: No local flights, buses are cheap and much more economical.
Tours are based out of either Campo Grande or Bonito, depending on which area appeals to you more. The tour companies handle transportation into the Pantanal.
Activities
There are tons of activities in both Bonito and Campo Grande, with plenty to do and see. Bonito offers more aquatic activities, including an amazing rappelling / cave diving tour that takes place inside the Anhumas Abyss. There are also numerous swimming and snorkeling trips, as well as rafting and tubing. If you’re into water sports, Bonito has you covered.
Campo Grande offers 3, 4, and 5-day tours into the Pantanal. Activities include horseback riding, piranha fishing, a jeep safari, bird watching, boat trips, night walks, and sunrise walks. Campo Grande offers more in the way of wildlife sightings and excursions into the wetlands.
